1. Who We Are
Gloucestershire Mortgage Adviser ("we", "us", "our") is an introducer to FCA regulated mortgage firms, based in Gloucestershire. We collect your enquiry details and introduce you to authorised firms who provide regulated mortgage advice. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
We are an introducer to FCA regulated firms — we are not a lender and we do not ourselves provide regulated mortgage advice. (Once our Appointed Representative arrangement with Echo Finance is confirmed, this policy will be updated with our FCA registration details.)
2. What Data We Collect
When you complete one of our enquiry or callback forms, we collect the information you provide, which may include:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Details about your mortgage needs (e.g. mortgage type, urgency, property value, deposit or equity)
- Financial and personal details relevant to your enquiry (e.g. employment status, income band, and whether you have any adverse credit such as missed payments, CCJs, or a resolved bankruptcy/IVA)
- Your preferred contact time and any additional notes you choose to share
We also automatically collect limited technical and analytics data (see Cookies & Analytics below).
3. Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis)
We use your personal data to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide mortgage advice
- Introduce you to a suitable mortgage adviser or lender
- Contact you about your enquiry by phone or email
Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (which you give when you tick the consent box and submit a form) and our legitimate interest in responding to and following up on the enquiry you have made. Where we process financial details to assess your mortgage needs, we do so to take steps at your request prior to providing the service.
4. How Long We Keep It
In line with standard financial services practice, we retain enquiry and client records for up to 6 years. This allows us to meet our regulatory and legal obligations and to assist you with any follow-up advice. After this period your data is securely deleted.
5. Who We Share It With
We only share your data with parties necessary to provide the service you have requested. This may include:
- Appointed mortgage advisers within our network
- Our network partner(s) and the lenders relevant to your enquiry
- Trusted service providers who help us operate the website and deliver enquiry notifications (e.g. our form/email delivery provider)
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to erasure")
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at rickynaylor21@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies & Analytics
This site uses cookies to improve your experience and to understand how visitors use the site. Specifically, we use:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics / GA4) to measure traffic and page performance
- Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where applicable, show relevant ads
We do not use cookies to store your enquiry details. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect how the site functions.
8. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Form submissions are transmitted securely over HTTPS.
